CEBU, Philippines — The pioneering designer for plus-sized women, Boyet Fajardo, celebrates another successful milestone in his career with a new collection – pieces for the mature, modern woman. The collection consists of a bold palette of fiery reds, grays and black, evoking timeless elegance.

For the collection, Fajardo works to “empower plus-sized, mature beauties with pieces that fit and flatter their silhouettes,” the designer says. “Nothing gives me joy more than to make women of all sizes and ages feel beautiful,” he adds.

Fajardo designs versatile pieces for the discerning, well-travelled woman – dresses that gracefully cling to curves. Made from a mix of chiffon, jersey and other lightweight fabrics, the pieces feel like second skin, offering comfort and ease of movement for the wearer. The collection, he says, is founded on a transitional style that easily brings the lady from day to night.

“The ensembles are comfortable yet elevated, so they’re appropriate for any occasion,” Fajardo explains. From flirty cocktail dresses to statement separates for the everyday, Fajardo’s collection brims with positivity and boldness that gives every woman that extra boost of confidence.

One of his stronger pieces in the collection is a cocktail number in Abraham lace and flowing silk chiffon combination cut in western pattern, and which features color-coordinated tabs in flowing chiffon, matched with techno printed trousers. It’s a modern juxtaposition of colors, patterns and textures that women will love and appreciate.

With fabrics, Fajardo displays skill and craftsmanship with the use of lace, draping, and embellishments in creating his pieces. Fajardo creates a modern cocktail dress in Abraham lace and flowing silk chiffon for a more structured silhouette.

Interestingly, the designer is also quite adept in employing styles that highlight the different features women love most about their bodies.
