A First-of-its-Kind Health Facility

Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The first Department of Health-endorsed medical tourism facility in Cebu had its blessing and soft-opening ceremonies on Thursday, June 8.

Located at the corner of Plaridel Street and United Nations Avenue in Mandaue City, Maayo Medical has 28 doctors available to cater to healthcare needs of patients, including general consultations, laboratory and primary medical imaging services.

Set to be fully operational by the last quarter of 2017, the center will provide a full-range of diagnostic, therapeutic and specialty services – with specialty centers to focus on a wide range of specializations covering eye, dental, ENT, aesthetics, nutrition, diabetes care, men and women’s health and liver wellness, and many others.

Apart from being the first DOH-endorsed medical tourism facility in Cebu, Maayo Medical, once fully operational, will also be the first healthcare facility of its class in the country to implement an integrated digital patient history system at par with international patient records-keeping standards.

Standing on a 20,000-square-meter area, the outpatient facility will highlight world-class holistic healthcare solutions, aiming to be the most trusted ambulatory or out-patient facility of choice in Southeast Asia.
