CEBU, Philippines -  At a time, like summer, when there is just so many fun activities to grab one’s time, there is almost no more time for a laid-out meal, much less for preparing one. Hence, the need for something healthy that does not require much time to prepare and tastes good. If it’s something versatile too – like if it can smoothly go with something else – then that would be added value.

One thing that fits the description is scrambled eggs. Everyone loves it. And probably everyone knows how to do it, since it does not really require any culinary talent to do. Proof of the simplicity in its preparation is this recipe from the website http://allrecipes.com:

Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients:

2 Eggs

7 Tbsp Milk

½ tsp Salt

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Pinch of Black Pepper

Procedure:

1. Beat eggs in a bowl with a fork. Add milk, salt, and pepper; beat until well mixed.

2. Coat a small skillet with olive oil and heat over medium heat. Pour egg mixture into hot skillet; cook and stir until eggs are set, 3 to 5 minutes.

Scrambled eggs can go with freshly-cooked rice or as sandwich for toast or plain bread. It can, therefore, do for a meal or for merienda. And it can be ready in 10 minutes or less. Indeed, it’s yummy food – very quickly! (FREEMAN)
