Baybayin SMS

With “Baybayin SMS”, Android and iOS smartdevice owners who want to send and read text messages written in “baybayin” (an indigenous Filipino writing system) can readily do so.

The suite also links its users to online resources that cover the basics of the ancient Filipino writing system.

Developed by Christopher Castillo, the suite is basically a keyboard/input alternative app that allows its users to key in “baybayin” characters in text messages – all-in-all giving a real life application to what one may have learned about “baybayin”.
