Bradford to honor senior members

CEBU, Philippines - The Bradford United Church of Christ, Inc. (BUCCI) will honor its senior citizens with a Prayer Breakfast and a General Assembly on October 1 and Senior Citizens’ Sunday on October 9.

Rev. Philip Gerenia will give a meditation on the theme “Toiling On” on October 1 while noted evangelist Pilar Pilapil is guest preacher during the 7:30 and 10 a.m. worship services on October 9. The seniors will also be feted with a strictly adults Luncheon Fellowship and the formal launching of Piso-piso Gikan sa Kasing-kasing Gikan Kanimo fund drive.

The activities will be attended by over a hundred senior and invited guests led by senior Pastor Macky Sabayle and Revs. Robert de Rosas and Rex Taberos.

Greeters, ushers, liturgists and a 50-man choir are all seniors. Officers of the Senior Citizens’ Ministry are Fe Vegnon Salvador, President; Wilfredo Castillo, Vice President; Belen Ylanan, Treasurer: Emma Arenajo, Assistant Treasurer; Milagros Talam, Secretary; and Al de Guzman, Auditor.
