Governor and vice governor oath taking rites

For the second time, Governor Hilario "Junjun" P. Davide III took his oath of office as Governor of the Province of Cebu before Justice Jamar Dimaampao of the Court of Appeals, with his wife Mrs. Jobel Davide holding the Bible for him and with his parents, former Chief Justice of Supreme Court Hilario Davide II and Mrs. Virgie Davide and family in perfect attendance.

Likewise, Vice Governor Agnes Almendras Magpale also took her oath of office as Vice Governor of the Province of Cebu before Justice Jamar Dimaampao. After which, the Provincial Board members also took their oaths of office after the top officials had their turns. Venue of the oath-taking ceremony was the Social Hall of the Cebu Provincial Capitol. The ceremony was preceded with a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Msgr. Agustin Ancajas.

Immediately after the short thanksgiving message from Governor Davide, hundreds of political supporters of the provincial officials, the Consular Corps, businessmen and prominent entrepreneurs partook of the sumptuous lunch held at the Capitol Social Hall.
