“Bohol Break” – An Anniversary Getaway

CEBU, Philippines - The year-long 20th anniversary celebration of Zee Lifestyle, Cebu’s premier lifestyle magazine, started by treating friends and loyal subscribers with a Bohol Break at Be Grand Resort in Panglao, Bohol.

Guests came via a short ferry ride to Bohol that included an array of breakfast goodies, coffee and white wine; before being whisked off to the resort for a warm welcome followed by lunch.

The rest of the afternoon was a chance for everyone to indulge themselves, either by frolicking at the resort’s several swimming pools and beachfront or by heading over to the Beauty Suite, for makeup sessions by MAC and massage treatments by La Mer Skincare.

The highlight of Zee Lifestyle’s “Bohol Break” was the evening’s fashion show held at Be Grand Resort’s Ballroom. Preluded by free-flowing Moët &Chandon and Stolichnaya martini by the beach, the show revealed the latest collections of Jun Escario and Mia Arcenas. Dinner then followed – a four-course culinary treat hosted by Be Grand Hotel’s president Grand Benedicto and specially crafted by Chef Chele Gonzales from Manila’s celebrated restaurant, Gallery Vask.

In true Zee Lifestyle fashion, where no event is complete without an after party, guests were next ushered downstairs to The Food Hall, Be Grand Resort’s hip all-day dining restaurant, converted into a dance club where people enjoyed martinis, champagne, and wine while dancing the night away to beats by DJ Simone. 

To wind down from the craziness of the first day, Sunday began on a relaxing note with fashion designer OJ Hofer’s morning meditation by the beach. After a hearty buffet breakfast, guests were given the option to take the morning trip back to Cebu or stay in Bohol for the day and take a later boat. 

The Zee Lifestyle “Bohol Break,” presented by Arthaland, was just the first in a series of anniversary events this year the magazine’s 20 years in the industry.
