CEBU, Philippines – The people behind Foodpanda Cebu met with members of the local press and the blogging community on Friday, July 24, to announce its forthcoming grand launch in Cebu in September.

Foodpanda is an on-the-fly food delivery service that allows owners of data-enabled smartphones and tablets to order their favorite dishes and specials from more than 150 Cebu-based dining venues, via the Foodpanda app. The service has been operational in Cebu since November last year.

Available in versions for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, the service also has a web-accessible variant. It is aimed at simplifying the process of ordering food using available mobile-based technologies.

With provisions for various payment modes - credit card, debit card, and cash-on-delivery, among others - and a delivery fleet that operates from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., the service aims to stir up the local food industry. More information is available at foodpanda.ph.
