SKY Alive! mall tour goes to Cebu

Cable and broadband technology giant SKY Cable Corporation invites Cebuanos to step out of their gadgets as they bring you your favorite shows and cable celebrities in the flesh to the Queen City of the South—surpassing way more than what your TV and mobile phones can give you.

SKY Cable attempts to strengthen their regional presence through their Sky Alive! mall tour. In partnership with Discovery Channel, lifestyle channel TLC, and education- based channel Animal Planet—interactive booths, games, freebies and more from the Discovery networks are available at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu over the weekend for families to enjoy. All these, free of charge.

Throughout May 26-28, Cebuanos of all ages can relish the fun in deconstructing science experiments, or hone their “Cake Boss” skills with Sky Alive’s express pastry workshop. Dog lovers and pet owners get to learn stories of animal rescue and pet adoption, and nature buffs will get the chance to go on a wild, virtual reality adventure with the great animals of the jungle kingdom.

The Sky Alive! mall tour is in line with SKY’s latest accommodation: SKYdirect. The direct-to-home service aims to bring the fun to Cebuano families, especially to those who live in the far-flung areas of the Visayas, by offering them a diverse lineup of cable channels wherever they are.

“SKY is geared to enhance the life of every Filipino family with our services. We want more Filipinos to make SKY a part of their lives and the best way to extend their SKY experience beyond their screens and gadgets,” SKY regional business head Ed Patron said.

During a press event yesterday at Radisson Blu Hotel, SKY introduced Discovery Asia-Pacific’s upcoming show “Worst Vacation Ever.” The travel-reality show with a twist stars celebrity brothers KC and Troy Montero and follows them into a world of real-life holiday nightmares—reliving the worst vacation experiences throughout the country for our entertainment.

Viewers will get the chance to meet the Montero brothers and possibly snap crazy staycation photos with them during the mall tour.

But people with the wanderlust don’t get all the fun for themselves. Science buffs also get to rub shoulders with pop science junkies—Ramon Bautista, Lourd de Veyyra, Jun Sabayton, RA Rivera and Angel Rivero of “You Have Been Warned Asia.”
