2 kids drown in La Union

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines – Two seven-year-old boys drowned in a river in Barangay San Simon West in  Aringay, La Union on Friday. ?

Gerald Ghil Gonzales and Vincent Robert Nisperos died while being treated at the La Union Medical Center. The sister of Nisperos, Irish, 6, was confined in the same hospital.

The victims took a dip in the river on their way home from school at around 5 p.m. when they were swept away by the strong current. 

In Isabela, two teenagers were reported missing and four others were rescued when they were carried by the strong current while swimming in Cagayan River at around 3 p.m. also on Friday.
