‘I-Witness’ uncovers Casa Nicolasa

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Casa Nicolasa has an imposing architectural design that amazes people up to this day.

It is the first “Bahay na Bato” to be built in San Fernando, Pampanga. The “Henson-Hizon” house was declared as a heritage house by the National Historical Institute in 2003.

Though still privately owned, tourists who want to view the house may do so. Ornate architectural designs never fail to amaze the guests.   Underneath the beautiful façade, however, lies a tale that has been forgotten with the passing of time...but is now resurfacing.

Some say that deep in the shadows of the old ancestral house lurk some enigmatic events that horrify the people living within the compound. Sightings of a lady standing by the window and sounds of a piano playing on its own.

Jay Taruc and his team investigate the allegations of hauntings inside the house by putting up CCTV cameras. Is the house really haunted?  Find out this Saturday in “I-Witness” at 10:30 p.m. after “Celebrity Bluff” on GMA-7. (PR) (FREEMAN)
