MANILA, Philippines - With Chef Andrea Delzanno serving up a feast at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila for FestaItaliana in June, guests and wine connoisseurs were treated to a culinary journey of authentic Italian dishes paired with authentic Italian wines.

General manager Frank Reichenbach gave a warm welcome to the guests, who then started off with appetizers at the Connect Lounge at the Sky.

The main course was served at the Grand Ballroom, with Chef Andrea giving guests a background on his signature dishes: Tartar di Tonno (yellow fin tuna with avocado, lemon dressing and horseradish) with Banfi Le Rime Pinot Grigio. The Italian classic Linguine Alle Vongole was greatly enjoyed together with Barbera D’Alba Doc. Finishing the main course was the Guancetta di Manzo Wagyu Cotta Lentamente su Pure’ di Zucca, Barolo (slow cooked wagyu beef cheek, barolo sauce pumpkin puree) with the fine Mauro Molino Barolo DOCG.

To top it off, guests indulged in the most famous Italian dessert tiramisu at Cucina with a glass of Banfi Bellagio sparkling wine.
