MANILA, Philippines - Bringing the best properties with the greatest view, Marco Polo and Niccolo Hotels introduce the remaking of an icon, The Murray, as a flagship hotel under its luxury brand, Niccolo.
Last Feb. 22, group director of branding and communications Alka Datwani, VP of sales and marketing Philip Schaetz, and Marco Polo Ortigas Manila director of marketing communications Judith Los Baños invited media partners for a journey in discovery as they introduce The Murray.
The Murray, the tall white landmark structure along Cotton Tree drive, was built in 1969, and has won many awards for its groundbreaking and energy-efficient design. Under Niccolo Hotels’ management, the icon will feature 336 rooms and will showcase a sophisticated and urban chic sanctuary in the heart of the city.
“It is a conservation project. It’s an old government building that we are completely gutting out. Everybody gets a special Niccolo hospitality in a contemporary yet very chic environment,” says Philip Schaetz.
In response, Frank Reichenbach, GM of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila and recipient of the 2016 General Manager of the Year (ASEAN Region) Award said, “Warm hospitality with a modern touch is what we have always been proud to showcase. We take pride in the exceptional service that we provide for every guest who wish to find a sanctuary in the city with premium accommodations and award-winning dining destinations”.
