VIRAL: Salutatorian cut off by teachers while delivering speech

Alixandra Caole Vila - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - On the school's graduation day, Krisel Mallari,  a high school salutatorian of Sto. Niño Parochial School (SNPS) in Quezon City surprised the school administration when she did not deliver the speech she was expected to give. The incident was caught on camera and is currently making the rounds on social media.

Mallari, said shortly before the emcee took the microphone away from her and said "Thank you very much, Ms. Krisel Mallari."

But Mallari bravely went on to say the words she intended to say.

For the second time the emcee grabbed the microphone away from her and said, "I said kindly stop, thank you very much."

A teacher was seen seemingly giving Mallari a different paper to read. Thinking that she would read what was given to her, the teacher stepped aside.

Mallari once again proceeded, still continuing her own speech.

At this point, another teacher went to her side and was handing her another piece of paper.

According to reports, the speech was not approved by the school administrators. Mallari was not able to deliver her whole speech during the ceremony, but a transcript was included on the caption of the video uploaded by Youtube user Jose Rizal.

The video already has more than 2 million views. Watch the video below:
