Campus News: UE International Studies delegates win major awards

University of the East College of Arts and Sciences-Manila AB International Studies students Healy Mareh Reyes, Ramjee Gilbert Camaro II, Kim Shaina Manebog, Noris John Mendez and Joaquin Alfonso Toledo bagged multiple awards at the Pelita Harapan International Model United Nations Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia. The international conference is organized by the Universitas Pelita Harapan Model United Nations Community under the International Relations Fiesta Celebration.

PUP students hailed as environment champions

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-NCR awarded PUP San Juan students Yvonne dela Paz, Eunice Beltran and Mark Jeremy Esquejo for their San Juan River Campus System Water Quality Management Area audiovisual sresentation entry. The team received a P30,000 certificate and plaque of recognition. The awarding ceremony was held at the Hive Hotel and Convention Place, Diliman, Quezon City.

AIESEC to hold a forum on mental health

In partnership with the National Youth Commission, AIESEC in the Philippines will conduct a forum titled: #RedefineCourage on Feb. 18, 2018 at Miriam College, Quezon City. The forum will aim to strengthen the knowledge and attitude of student-leader participants in dealing with their mental health to also help others to do the same. AIESEC Philippine Foundation is the world’s largest youth-led organization that develops the young people’s potential in leadership worldwide.

Ateneo to host workshop on Digital Media

The Ateneo de Manila University Department of English will host a workshop by Paul Michael Leonardo Atienza entitled: “An Ethnography of Digital Lives: Developing Research Questions for Networked Worlds.” It will enable participants to consider how they could use digital media in formulating their research projects. The workshop will be on Jan. 15, 2018 at NGF Conference Room, Ateneo de Manila University.

DLSU shares advance vehicle designs to SHS students

De La Salle University Eco Car team hosted an event that would create awareness on vehicle design and the future of transportation in the country. The team also talked about the philosophy of creating new designs through aerodynamics, material engineering, tribology, and strategic weight reduction. The event targeted Senior High School Students to teach show them the vision of the transportation technology’s future.
