Campus News: Teach for the Philippines opens fellowship applications
MANILA, Philippines - Teach for the Philippines, a non-profit social enterprise, opens its fellowship program application to interested leaders, or so called Teacher Fellows, who will become advocates for education and transform the Philippine education setting in the next two years.
A Fellow candidate must undergo a two-month intensive training called the Summer Institute wherein candidates do not only undergo training in progressive pedagogy and curricular requirements but also earn units in education.
The application process starts with an online application on their website, www.teachforthephilippines.org, followed by a phone interview to elaborate on personal experiences and to speak with someone from Teach for the Philippines about the work and if passed, applicants will be invited to join the assessment center to do a teaching demonstration and undergo competency-based interviews.

LEB releases PhiLSAT dates
The Legal Education Board has released dates for the second and third Philippine Law School Admission Test (PhiLSAT) dates.
The second PhiLSAT is scheduled on September 24, 2017. The registration period is from Jul. 24 until Aug. 30. Testing locations are in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.
Meanwhile, the third PhiLSAT is scheduled on Apr. 8, 2018. Registration is from Jan. 29 to Mar. 18, 2018. Testing locations are in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Legazpi and Zamboanga.
A total of 6,575 out of 8,074 examinees hurdled the first PhiLSAT for an 81.43% passing rate.
UP, MAPUA graduates are highest-paid employees – Jobstreet
Latest infographic released by JobStreet.com shows that graduates of University of the Philippines and MAPUA University are the highest-paid among new graduates, those with one to four years’ experience, non-executive, supervisor and assistant manager or manager employees. This is based on the self-declared salaries of the users of JobStreet. JobStreet included 15 universities and colleges with the largest number of graduates in the website. University of Sto. Tomas, De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University are consistent tops 3, 4 and 5 in the categories.
Meanwhile, DLSU topped the highest-paid CEO/SVP/AVP/VP/director employees followed by ADMU.
