The eye of typhoon "Florita" was estimated at 2 p.m. yesterday at 690 kms. east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is forecast to move northwest at 22 kph.
An intertropical convergence zone still affects central and southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, which will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, with widespread rains over southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. Coastal waters in northern and central Luzon will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate.
