MANILA, Philippines — Insurance firm FWD Life Insurance Corp. will make available its Customer Connect Hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week, starting today.

In a statement, FWD Life said it is the first in the insurance industry business to allow customers to get in touch with its representatives 24/7 through the Customer Connect Service.

“To enrich customer experience and remain competitive, we are moving towards a digital 24/7 multi-channel customer engagement center that offers diverse service options for our customers,” FWD Life Philippines president and chief executive officer Peter Grimes said.

In addition, Grimes said FWD customers can now opt to chat with a customer service representative through the live chat feature on the company’s website. The function is also available 24/7.

“Our vision is to change the way people feel about insurance, and so we want to give our customers the choice to engage with us any way and any time, at their own convenience,” Grimes said.

“FWD Life Philippines is also preparing more operational, technical, and technological enhancements to our services that will help us provide customers with relevant and timely support and continue to grow our customer engagement,” he added.

The company launched its e-commerce and corporate care channels in late 2016.

Grimes said the continuous growth of FWD Life is driven by its core operating strengths, as well as efforts to utilize technology in business.

Aside from its digital channels, Grimes said FWD Life is also continuously developing innovative products to address the needs of its customers.

The company recently launched its US Dollar All Set Higher plan, which gives its customers insurance protection, while at the same time providing them with opportunities to invest in listed corporations across the globe for a minimum investment of $20,000.

“With a minimum investment of $20,000, the US Dollar All Set Higher offers access to a global portfolio of equity shares of top listed corporations across the world. The plan brings the power of global investing closer to the Filipino and offers long-term growth potential with high potential returns at well-diversified risks,” he said.

According to data from the Insurance Commission, FWD Life ranked  12th largest life insurance firm in the country in 2016 with a premium income of P3.04 billion, up 34.5 percent year on year.

As of end-2016, the company had a total net worth of P1.21 billion, and assets of P5.31 billion.
