The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The different trends and disruptive innovations related to the logistics industry were tackled at the 2017 Asia Logistics Summit held recently at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City.

The annual forum was spearheaded by LBC Business Solutions, the leading name in logistics in the country, which partnered with Asia CEO Events, the nation’s largest business events organization.

Asia Logistics Summit 2017 featured the nation’s most important chief executive officers, with trend-setting companies such as Royal Cargo, Air21, Transportify, Lalamove, Lazada and Zalora sharing their experience and expertise culled from their day-to-day operations.

The World Bank reported that the Philippines has the highest logistics costs in the ASEAN region. Through the event, LBC hoped that the different logistic companies will be able to find ways to make their services more efficient and affordable.

Asia CEO president Rebecca Bustamante said the logistics forum was “the most convenient platform to bring to light the new trends in logistics and find ways and means to keep up with the fast paced growth of businesses.”

LBC president and chief operating officer Miguel Angel Camahort said the logistics summit brought together all the experts in the logistics industry who each shared their unique business propositions.

“To have imparted our hard-earned knowledge in the realm of logistics is not just a feat for us, but a huge privilege,” he said.
