Cebu Pacific offers additional 25 kg for Manila-Guam
MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific is offering additional 25-kilograms (kg) baggage allowance for free for passengers who will pre-purchase 40 kg baggage allowance and fly on the Manila to Guam route this month until December.
In a statement, Cebu Pacific said the additional baggage allowance would be available from September until Dec.15.
The 65-kg total check-in baggage being made available to passengers is equivalent to the weight of a balikbayan box.
Cebu Pacific said the free baggage allowance, which will be added after check-in at the airport, is being offered for passengers’ pre-Christmas shopping in Guam.
“Guam offers one of the very best shopping experiences in the Asia-Pacific region, with its combination of luxury brands, American heritage labels and deeply-discounted outlet shops.
We are excited to offer passengers travelling to and from Guam the free top-up of a maximum 25 kg on their 40-kg baggage allowance, to make room for the great deals they will find. There’s less reason to worry about excess baggage, and more reason to complete the holiday shopping,” said Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and distribution at Cebu Pacific.
Cebu Pacific started flights to Guam in March last year.
Following the launch of Cebu Pacific’s Manila to Guam service, tourist arrivals to the US territory have been increasing dramatically.
