NCH names 1st Asian president

MANILA, Philippines - NCH, a global leader in industrial and commercial maintenance products and services, has welcomed its first Asian president for NCH Asia who will lead the way to 100 years of excellence in preparation for its grand centennial in 2019. 

Amidst a challenging road ahead, Dong Eun Kim answered the call to this great privilege and responsibility.

“It’s a bit overwhelming, but I’m really excited and now motivated to do the better job based on the foundation that my former boss David built on,” he said, referring to NCH Asia’s former president and CEO David Weiss.

Born and raised in South Korea, Kim shared his story of finishing school and serving 26 months in the Korean military as a non-English speaking local to becoming a leader of a global brand.

Kim knew that in order to become successful, he needed a plan. 

“If you set a 10-year plan, you must stick to it faithfully and stay on track,” he said.

And part of his plan was to learn English which brought him to the US as an exchange student, beginning his global perspective of business and economy.”

Here in the Philippines, he is excited to work with everyone in the country. “The people are so bright, so positive. I really like it. And then that’s why it’s so much fun working with the people here,” Kim said.

NCH is well underway towards a successful centennial celebration, and big plans are in place for the Philippine market.
