MANILA, Philippines - Listed media and entertainment firm ABS-CBN Corp. has partnered with Ayala Malls to make available a tent venue within the newly opened Ayala Malls Vertis complex in Quezon City.

ABS-CBN said in a statement, the agreement for the new tent venue called ABS-CBN Vertis Tent was signed by Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN chief operating officer of broadcast and Paolo Pineda, ABS-CBN head of business development with AyalaLand Malls Inc. president Rowena Tomeldan and AyalaLand Inc. chief finance officer Ruby Chiong.

The ABS-CBN Vertis Tent to be used for special events, live shows, product launches, exhibits and concerts is expected to open in the fourth quarter.

It will have a 1,140-square meter main hall and a seating capacity of 1,200 people.

Pineda said the new venture strengthens ABS-CBN’s partnership with Ayala Malls.

“Ayala Malls has been one of our strongest partners for our events, programs, and movies. Our events in selected Ayala Malls have always generated thousands of attendees,” he said.

Apart from providing a place to meet celebrities, Tomeldan said the tent would also be available for private functions for individuals in need of a big venue in QC.

“We are excited to be a part of wonderful memories created by this new venue,” she said.

Last year, ABS-CBN signed a lease agreement with Ayala Malls for the first ever experience store in Trinoma Mall in QC.

The experience store allows visitors to take part of the Kapamilya shows by playing roles.

Through the store, visitors can also purchase ABS-CBN merchandise, as well as interact with stars.

ABS-CBN is primarily involved in television (TV), radio broadcasting, as well as production of programs.
