Pilmico bags ISO, HACCP certifications
MANILA, Philippines - Pilmico Foods Corp., the food unit of conglomerate Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., has obtained two international certifications for its food management systems.
Its feed and flour mill plants in Iligan received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification and the hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) certification, attesting to its adherence to international quality and safety standards.
“Pilmico’s products and services comply with legal, statutory, and contractual requirements, and ensures that it meets or even exceeds the expectation of its customers and various stakeholders,” global testing provider TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines Inc. said.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
On the other hand, the HACCP certification is an international recognition of a modern, scientific, food safety system. The system identifies potential food safety hazards and, in effect, reduces or eliminates these risks.
Pilmico is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of flour, feeds, and their by-products. It has a network of distributors and dealers located in the major cities of Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Bacolod and Cagayan.
