PayMaya, Muntinlupa empower citizens with access to digital economy

MANILA, Philippines — PayMaya Philippines, the country’s pioneer and leader in digital financial services and the preferred partner of LGUs for digital transformation and the Lingkod Muntinlupa Foundation, are working together to improve the disbursement of subsidies to citizens and scholars of the Muntinlupa Care Card program.

The Lingkod Muntinlupa Foundation, through its public-private partnership with the city government of Muntinlupa, provides citizens with Muntinlupa care cards that enable them to access services such as free e-jeepney rides, accident financial insurance, healthcare services, and job and livelihood opportunities.

Through the partnership with PayMaya, financial assistance is now disbursed to Muntinlupa care card holders digitally—a more secure, convenient and efficient alternative to distribute hard cash to communities—at no sign-up cost. The Muntinlupa care card holders now have their very own personalized PayMaya cards where they can automatically and immediately receive their benefits.

Their PayMaya cards are accepted anywhere visa is honored—even abroad. Muntinlupa care card holders can use their PayMaya to transact at physical stores such as groceries, drug stores, restaurants and malls—no need to carry cash which is hassle and risky.

Muntinlupa care cards will soon be converted into two-in-one PayMaya IDs, equipping citizens with one card that they can conveniently carry and use anytime, anywhere.

PayMaya is telco-agnostic, allowing anyone regardless of mobile number—Globe, Smart, TnT—to create an account instantly without the hassle of changing SIM cards just to enjoy the benefits of e-cash and the digital economy.

PayMaya allows users to manage their funds wisely. Enabling access to the digital economy

Muntinlupa care card holders can now do cashless transactions in groceries, transport systems, and shopping centers here and abroad—any establishment that accepts card payments. In addition, student cardholders can use PayMaya for a safer and easier way to pay for online books, content streaming, music subscription, and travel opportunities that fuel their desire to live fully and learn beyond the four corners of the classroom.

They can download the PayMaya app for free from the App Store or Play Store and link it to their card to monitor their balance, purchase discounted prepaid load and data from Smart, TnT, and Globe, and even pay bills in-app from the country’s top utility and merchants such as Meralco, Maynilad, Globe, PLDT, Smart and Sky Cable, among others. Soon, they will be able to pay government services within the app such as SSS, PAG-IBIG and PhilHealth without spending commute time and fare.

PayMaya accounts can be upgraded by simply submitting valid IDs within the app to be able send money to other PayMaya users, increase monthly transaction limit from P50,000 to P100,000 and facilitate cash withdrawal through any Bancnet ATMs nationwide. With this, citizens can send money to other PayMaya users for free, making remittance as convenient as a few taps on a smartphone.

Reloading PayMaya is hassle-free with its over 15,000 top up stations nationwide which include SM Business Centers, Robinsons Department Stores, 711 with Cliqq Kiosks, Petron stations along NLEX, Ministop with Touchpay Kiosks, UnionBank ATMs, Shopwise, Wellcome, 2Go outlets, Smart Padala centers, Palawan Pawnshop and online banking via BDO.
