DOST launches Onestore Inventrepreneurs Hub in QC

Rainier Allan Ronda - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Filipino Inventors Society Producers Cooperative (FISPC) inaugurated the first Onestore Inventrepreneurs Hub in Quezon City last Sunday.

Francisco Pagayon, FISPC president and chief executive, said that the opening of the Onestore Hub showcased the successful alliance forged between the FISPC and the DOST to help the country’s inventor-entrepreneurs widen their market through the onestore.ph online shopping website developed by the DOST, and the traditional brick-and-mortar, physical shops called OneStore Hubs that the DOST aims to set up in all the regions of the country.

Pagayon pointed out that also benefitting in the DOST-FISPC partnership are the thousands of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) mostly based in the countryside whose products are featured in the DOST onestore.ph online shopping store.

“In our Onestore Inventrepreneurs Hub, the commercial products of our inventor-entrepreneurs are side by side with the products of our MSMEs,” Pagayon told The STAR

The Onestore Inventrepreneurs Hub, located at the ground floor of the Delta Building at the corner of Quezon Ave. and West Ave. in Quezon City, was previously the FISPC showroom and business center and was transformed into a Onestore Hub under the DOST-FISPC partnership.
