Holy Week travel? Mercedes Benz airport buses now available
MANILA, Philippines — Going out-of-town for Holy Week? Here is a new way one can travel affordably but in style.
Ube Express, the premium airport bus service going to and from NAIA Terminals 1 to 4, announced that it has signed an agreement with Ayala Center Estate Association (ACEA) and Ayala Malls to expand its Makati route, providing commuters from Glorietta and Greenbelt convenient access and travel to the airport.
The new route includes stops at Glorietta 4 and 5 and hotels within Ayala Center Makati such as The Ascott, Peninsula Manila, Shangri-la, New World, Fairmont Makati, Holiday Inn and Suites, and Dusit Hotel to pick-up passengers going to NAIA Terminals 1 to 4. A new Ube Express hub will be operating soon from Park Square, where mall goers of Glorietta and Greenbelt can conveniently connect to other modes of public transportation.
Makati-bound travelers, including business travelers who frequent the Makati Central Business District (Makati CBD), will enjoy the comfort and relaxing ride via Ube Express. Fare to any bus stop is at fixed price of Php200 per person.
The key feature of the service is the bus itself – a Mercedes-Benz MCV C 120 Low-entry model – which features state-of-the-art technology including: EURO V and BlueTec engine, smooth steering, powerful braking systems, low-entry design, body designed with high force absorption, PWD compatibility, ergonomically sound seats and ample room. Other supporting components of the service includes: online booking service, GPS tracking, a mobile tracking app, radio communications, on-board WIFI, CCTV cameras, the exclusive use of Petron Fuel and e-ticketing technology (e.g. tap card and credit card). The combination of all of these promises a ride that is more comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly than its competition.
Bus routes also currently cover a large base of stops as apart from the Makati CBD, such as Entertainment City, Roxas Boulevard, and Intramuros. It also plans to grow its area of coverage in the future to include other key locations in the Metro. Ube Express increases travel capacity to and from NAIA and significantly enhances existing modes of transportation.
