MANILA, Philippines - True to its commitment of inviting overseas Filipinos to come home and share their world-class expertise with the local hospitality scene, Okada Manila recently announced the appointment of global hospitality industry veteran Julius Santos to lead sales and marketing operations of its 993-room hotel.
In his new role, Santos will oversee Okada Manila’s hospitality sales and marketing strategies in anticipation of its upcoming opening. Santos will specifically focus on the development and implementation of strategic plans for MICE, conference and catering services, reservations, and room and banquet sales.
With over 34 years of senior leadership and international expertise in hospitality sales and marketing, Santos is no stranger to marketing world class luxury hotels. Prior to joining Okada Manila, he was the director of marketing at The Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts Asia Pacific in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai which was awarded the “Marketing Hotel of the Year” award in 2004. He was then transferred to the Four Seasons Hotel Macao and successfully handled the pre-opening sales and marketing efforts of the 360-room property with a residential component and luxury shops.
Santos also spent numerous years of sales and marketing experience with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. in Hawaii and Rancho Mirage, The Fairmont Hotel Co. and Inter-Continental Hotels in California.
