AdU 5 to make impact in PSSBC
MANILA, Philippines – With its remarkable showing in the ongoing UAAP juniors, Adamson looms as the biggest threat to Chiang Kai Shek College’s title-retention bid in the Philippine Secondary Schools Basketball Championship (PSSBC) MEC Network Cup unfolding on Dec. 10 at the SGS gym in Quezon City.
The Baby Falcons swept their first five games in the elims, including a shock win over the reigning champion National University Bullpups.
“The Baby Falcons could be the tournament’s revelation this time,” said Dickies Underwear’s Rudy Yu, member of the Board of Governors. “They are doing well and have already beaten the top teams.”
Since UAAP schools have yet to win the annual PSSBC tournament for elite high school teams, Yu said it’s time for Adamson step up and join the list of champions that also include Hope Christian High School, San Sebastian College and San Beda.
“They have the materials so I believe they have a solid chance to win the crown,” added Yu.
