Storm tracker: Where is 'Lawin' now?
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE 5, 5:24 p.m.) — The eye of Typhoon Lawin (international name: Haima) is located in the vicinity of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte as of 4 p.m. on Thursday, PAGASA said.
The typhoon has made landfall over Baguio Pt., Peñablanca, Cagayan at 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
At 1 a.m. on Thursday, Lawin was still a supertyphoon when it hit the vicinity of Solana, Cagayan.
At 2 a.m., its eye was located at the boundary of Rizal, Cagayan and Conner, Apayao. State weather bureau PAGASA also downgraded Lawin from supertyphoon to typhoon at this time.
At 3 a.m., its eye was located in the vicinity of Conner, Apayao.
At 4 a.m., the eye of Typhoon Lawin was located in the vicinity of Kabugao, Apayao.
At 5 a.m., the eye of was spotted in the vicinity of Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte.
At 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., the typhoon was located in the vicinity of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
State weather bureau PAGASA said that Lawin is not a threat anymore and is about to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, it forecast Lawin to move northwest at 22 kilometers per hour.

- 48 hour (Saturday afternoon): 950 km north northwest of Basco, Batanes (outside PAR)
