BDO Leasing profit up to P282 M in six months

MANILA, Philippines - BDO Leasing and Finance Inc. delivered a 12 percent increase in net income to P282 million in the first six months of 2016, the company said in a statement.

It said loan and lease portfolio grew 13 percent to P28 billion, leading to a 14 percent growth in gross revenues to P1.4 billion. BDO Leasing continues to strengthen its presence in key areas and penetrate new markets by leveraging on the extensive market reach of its parent company (BDO) to gain access to middle-market and consumer lending accounts.

The company is set to launch in September the MMPC Auto Financial Services Corp., its joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., Sojitz Corp. and JACCS Co. Ltd., which will allow it to serve more clients by extending financing to individual and corporate buyers of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles.
