ALI eyes more Luzon townships

MANILA, Philippines – Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) is looking to develop mixed-use estates in the northern and southern parts of Luzon to take advantage of growth opportunities.

Manuel Blas II, vice president for strategic landbank management group at ALI, said the property giant is interested to develop mixed-use estates in growth centers in Luzon.

In the northern part of Luzon, John Estacio, general manager for ALI mixed-use estates Nuvali and Alviera, said the company is on the lookout for properties to develop in Pangasinan, Baguio and Laoag that have been identified as growth centers.

He said these are areas where ALI has no existing mixed-use property developments and where there are growth opportunities amid rising business activity and available infrastructure.

As for the southern part of Luzon, the company has set its sights on Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).

“It (Calabarzon) is nearest to Metro Manila and infrastructure is better so it makes sense to go there,” Blas said.

He said ALI is looking for around 20 hectares of land to be developed into a mixed-use estate.

The land would be developed to host retail establishments, offices as well as other institutions such as schools.

Apart from Nuvali in Laguna and Alviera in Pampanga, ALI has other mixed-use estates in Luzon such as Altaraza in Bulacan, Vermosa in Cavite, Makati, Bonifacio Global City and Arca in Taguig City, as well as Cloverleaf and Vertis North in Quezon City.

ALI is engaged in the planning and development of large scale, integrated estates for mixed-use such as residential lots and buildings, office buildings, commercial and industrial lots, as well as hotels and resorts.
