RLC’s CSR backs Water for Life project

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – RLove, Robinsons Land Corp.’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, is supporting the Water for Life project of the local government of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Water for Life is a project that aims to help residents in urban poor communities by providing water hand pumps that will enable them to have regular potable water supply.

San Fernando City Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin noted during the turnover of the water hand pumps to the residents in Brgy. Malpitic that one of the most pressing needs of far flung communities is a source of potable water when water lines from local distributor don’t reach their place.

“The solution to this problem is water hand pump or poso. And we are very thankful to Robinsons Land Corp. for supporting this project which will surely help many families.”

Social involvement and community development is on the advocacies of RLove.  The program believes that social involvement is important for society to progress, prosper and offer its members a good quality of life.

“RLC has always aimed in contributing to our nation building,” said Mike Torres, RLC’s CSR senior manager. “This is the reason why we are supporting the initiative of the local government,” he added.
