State-of-the-art health and wellness center rises at MOA

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Banking on the success of its initial entrepreneurial venture, the prime movers behind Akari Lighting and Technologies, the leading lighting and electrical technology brand in the country, are exploring the growth potential of the real estate sector, which makes perfect sense as Akari has been supplying the electrical and lighting needs to numerous projects both commercial and residential for many years now.

To set their company apart from other, more established developers, the new firm, GoldQuest Premiere Resources Inc, decided to embark on an innovative project that will satisfy the needs of a populace that has become more and more health conscious and wellness oriented.

Thus The Biopolis, now rising along Diosdado Macapagal Ave. at the Mall of Asia complex,  was conceived.

“After careful planning and study, we realized that an advanced building that caters specifically to health and wellness locators is one market that is yet untapped,” said Sharina Tiu, GoldQuest business development manager.

“Furthermore, we wanted a project that is cutting-edge and innovative, much like our company, and The Biopolis is very much a reflection of that.”

The 11-story project, which was topped-off recently, is a uniquely planned, comprehensive, and state-of-the-art mixed-used development that is envisaged to be a haven for health and wellness.

With a total construction floor area of 32,019.52 square meters, the building’s proposed amenities include state-of-the-art health services and wellness facilities, as well as a garden and jogging path.

Dining, retail and commercial spaces will also compliment the structure that is sure to stand as a landmark with its modern, contemporary design.

And comprising the project development team is no less than the best practitioners in their respective fields: Albert Yu of ASYA Design Partners, the project’s lead architect; Danny Tamayo of Whiteport (DDT Konstrakt Inc.), serving as general contractor; R.B. Sanchez, consulting engineers; and Jo Salvacion of Design Coordiantes Inc., acting as project managers.
