Standard Insurance names new top execs
MANILA, Philippines – The board of directors of leading car insurer Standard Insurance Co. Inc. has elected Patricia E. Chilip as chairperson while his brother John was unanimously chosen president and chief executive officer.
Sportsman Ernesto “Judes” Echauz remains the group chairman and advisor of the company.
His directorship in the board is replaced by Ma. Christina Galang, now the first vice president and head of human resources department.
John joined Standard Insurance in 2009 and was previously the executive vice president, head of the claims and technical division.
Focusing in innovations, he likewise spearheaded the group’s business process outsourcing (BPO) operations catering to the international insurance companies.
Aside from insurance, he specializes in investment and corporate analysis for investment banking and strategic advisory engagements of a wide range of industries and companies.
Standard Insurance has consistently been the leader in motorcar insurance and is strong in property insurance, having the highest reinsurance capacity for single and catastrophic risks placed with highly rated international reinsurers.
