Uber expands carpool service

MANILA, Philippines - Ride-sharing app Uber is expanding the coverage of its carpool service uberHOP by including the routes Trinoma to Makati and Trinoma to Bonifacio Global City (BGC) beginning Monday.

Uber said in an email the new routes are being made available in response to passenger demand.

The new uberHOP from Trinoma which have Ayala Triangle in Makati and Net Quad 31st street in BGC as drop-off points, are available for P120 per passenger.

“Trinoma routes will run from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., while all other morning routes will continue to run from 7 to 10 a.m.,” Uber said.

The morning routes from Makati are: The Columns, Ayala Avenue to Net Quad; Legazpi Street to Net Quad; and Legazpi Street to Discovery Suites, Ortigas.

Available morning routes from South of Market, 25th Street, BGC meanwhile, have two drop-off points: Ayala Triangle and Discovery Suites.

For those coming from Mandaluyong in the morning, uberHOP’s pick-up point is SM Light Residences, while the drop-off points are Ayala Triangle and Net Quad.

UberHOP also has evening routes available from 5 to 9 p.m.
