The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – BDO Capital & Investment Corp. president Eduardo V. Francisco has been elected vice chairman of the International Association of Financial Executive Institutes (IAFEI).

This makes him the second Filipino to earn a seat in the prestigious international organization, joining Dr. Conchita L. Manabat who was IAFEI’s chairperson in 2005-2006.

IAFEI is a non-profit, non-political society of financial executives around the globe domiciled in Switzerland with its secretariat in the Philippines. Founded in 1969, it connects financial executives all over the world with a global membership of more than 15,000 senior level finance executives, mainly chief financial officers across 18 national institutes.

Members of IAFEI national institutes are mainly executives engaged in financial policy making and control in leading businesses, sharing a common interest in financial management, financial accounting, and reporting.

Aside from Francisco as vice chair representing the Philippines, other members of the IAFEI Executive Committee include Fausto Cosi (Italy) as chair; Armand Angeli (France) as area president for Europe, Middle East and Africa; Hirohaki Endo (Japan) as area president for Asia; Juan Alfredo Ortega (Mexico) as area president for the Americas; Saiful Haq Manan (Indonesia) as treasurer; and Lucia Fracassi (Italy) as secretary.
