Anchor Land ventures into high-growth areas

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Anchor Land Holdings Inc. plans to spend P13.3 billion to develop several residential and commercial projects in potential  high growth areas in Manila as it seeks to remain among the country’s fastest growing property developers this year.

Anchor Land officials said they are tapping previously unexplored locations with enormous growth potential such as Binondo and Roxas Blvd.

The company is looking to leverage the steady commercial activities in Binondo and the emergence of a tourism hub in Bay City which resulted in a spike in demand for real estate property.

“Our projects are based on demand, whether it be for a residential or a commercial development.

This year, we will continue to beef up untapped areas in Binondo, Roxas Blvd. and Bay City because these are where economic progress is headed. Where progress goes, so does demand,” Anchor Land chairman Stephen Lee said.

For Bay City, he said the company is currently constructing Monarch Parksuites, with office building Anchor Land Corporate Center and restaurant property East Ocean soon to start construction.

Anchor Land’s projects for the year also include Admiral Grandsuites and Admiral Hotel in Roxas Blvd.

Projects in Binondo, meanwhile,  include Oxford Parksuites, Princeview Parksuites, Anchor Grandsuites, and a hotel and residential property at T. Alonzo.

With Filipino-Chinese clients as its niche market, Anchor Land has expanded its market base to include local investors and their families who want properties that offer luxury, proximity to the place of work or business, school for the kids, and other city conveniences.

Lee said tourists and those who have a keen interest in the dynamism of the area are also part of its market.

“We try to understand our markets in a deeper sense. It’s all about a longer commitment for people to be more comfortable with us, trust us, endorse us to their friends, family, or business partners. Customer referral is always stronger than all marketing tactics combined,”  he said.
