Peso bounces back today

MANILA, Philippines - The peso bounced back against the dollar today, closing at 44.875 from the previous day's 44.995.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $849.5 million, higher than the $624.05 million posted on Monday.

The peso opened Tuesday at 45.
