Stocks close 0.35 pct lower today

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Shares closed 0.35 percent lower today.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index lost 24.37 points to 6,974. The all-share index also declined by 5.32 points, or 0. 13 percent, to 4,171.14.

Trading volume reached 1.53 billion shares worth P9.37 billion ($214.61 million).

There were 89 gainers, 79 losers while 51 stocks closed flat.
