Stocks close 0.04 pct lower today

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Philippine shares closed 0.04 percent lower today.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index declined by 2.77 points to 6,864.82. The all-share index, however, rose by 2.13 points, or 0.05 percent, to 4,112.56.

Trading volume reached 653.26 million shares worth P7.46 billion ($172.01 million).

There were 93 gainers, 82 losers while 51 stocks closed flat.
