BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Marco Polo Davao’s?Kadayawan season is?all about celebrating culture, arts, and culi-?nary achievements that?embrace local talents?and flavors. Led by?general manager Dot-?tie Würgler-Cronin and?director of sales and?marketing Pearl Peral-?ta-Maclang, the festivi-?ties started with a lobby?exhibit displaying the?works of homegrown artist Victor Dumagu- ing and the indigenous instrument collection of Jose Racho set against the stunning back- drop of the tribal and ethnic décor by Marco Polo Davao florist Dionelo Balofinos. The celebration also staged a fashion show, which featured the Philippine Eagle, one of the five- star hotel’s advocacies. Congratulations to Mar- co Polo Davao for a triumphant event!

Making a difference in Makati City

Rotary Club of Makati Ayala Triangle (RCMAT) under District 3830, chartered by businesswoman par excellence Prescy Yulo and led by president Shilpa Tolani, recently held their chartering and induction at Dusit Thani Manila in Makati City. In keeping with the Rotary’s theme for this year, “Making a Difference,” the historic club will continue to pursue the fulfillment of these six areas of focus: disease prevention, maternal and child care, basic education literacy, water sanitation and health, peace and conflict resolution, and economic and community development. Salute to the brave women of Rotary Club of Makati Ayala Triangle for their passion and commitment to make the world a better place!
