American expert to lead PFA’s franchise executive program anew

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), the country’s premier and only internationally recognized franchise association, will bring back to the country American franchise management expert Christopher Simnick to facilitate anew this year’s Certified Franchise Executive program, module IV, slated on July 17 to 18, 2017 at the AIM Conference Center Manila.

This will be the fourth time Simnick will facilitate the CFE program exclusively offered by the PFA which sustains its invigorated efforts to raise the global competitiveness of the Philippine franchise sector particularly its members.

Simnick, managing member and founder of Florida-based Synergy Franchise Group, LLC (Limited Liability Company) and also the founder of FranchiseTeacher.com, has over 30 years of business and franchise experience as an independent business owner, franchisee and franchisor.

FranchiseTeacher.com along with Synergy Franchise Group, LLC specializes in the creation and implementation of key strategies and business plans for concepts looking to enter franchising, franchise systems that are getting ready to launch as well as young and mature systems looking to “take the next step” in the growth of their systems.

Experienced at all corporate operation levels, his sales skills, along with his support, operations, and management style, have allowed him to put together systems and train teams in franchise development, recruitment, support, finance and operations that are respected in the franchising industry. His passion for franchising has equipped him with skills, knowledge, and experience very few franchise executives have had the opportunity to acquire.

Simnick has almost 20 years of direct international experience in franchising, which include development and launching of systems in the United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain. He also assists other European and Pacific Rim franchisors, master franchisees and franchisees in creating, developing and implementing their growth, support, and operations strategies.

“We are proud to say that the Philippines, which was the first country to offer the CFE program outside the US, also has the most number of CFE graduates,” said Alan Escalona, PFA president and a CFE graduate himself.

“We are confident that our past and recent CFE graduates, together with those who are currently enrolled in the program, will do their part in raising Philippine franchising to greater heights,” Escalona said.

PFA chairman Emeritus Samie Lim, who, together with PFA vice chairman Ma. Alegria “Bing” Sibal - Limjoco brought the CFE program to the Philippines, noted that the Philippines’ huge number of CFE graduates will not only be a boost to Philippine franchising but to regional franchising.

They said that “with the expected entry of Western franchises to Asia due to the bullish economy here, Filipino CFEs have the opportunity to work for these franchises as vice presidents or directors for franchising not only in the Philippines but throughout the ASEAN region.”

Franchise Asia Philippines 2017 is the annual centerpiece activity of the country’s franchising industry which includes the International Conference on July 19 and 20, International Expo on July 21 to 23 and Educational Seminars also on July 21 to 23 which will be held at SMX Convention Center, Manila.
