Myanmar to meet with Philippines, Malaysia in U-23

YANGON (Xinhua) - Myanmar national soccer team will meet with the Philippines and Malaysia U-23 teams in February in the build-up for the AFC Challenge Cup in March, according to Myanmar Football Federation (MFF)'s website today.

Both matches will be held in Y.T.C stadium. On Feb.6, Myanmar will meet with the Philippines and on Feb.22, Myanmar will play against Malaysian U-23 team at Youth Training Center here.

"I believe that all of our players will get a lot of experience from familiar regional rivals," cited MFF Technical Director Tin Myint Aung.

Park Sung Hua, Head Coach of Myanmar National Team will call up 25 players for the friendly matches and will start training on February 1, 2013.

In 2014, the AFC Challenge Cup qualifier will be the first international match for Myanmar national team.
