DFA: Walang Pinoy sa Las Vegas mass shooting

MANILA, Philippines — Nagpaabot ng pakikiramay ang pamahalaan ng Pilipinas sa pamilya ng mga naging biktima ng pamamaril sa Las Vegas, Nevada na ikinasawi ng higit 50 katao.

"We mourn with the families of those who perished and hope for the speedy recovery of the more than 500 people who were reported injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the American people today," pahayag ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano.

Isang 64-anyos na lalaki na nakilalang si Stephen Craig Paddock ang namaril sa isang concert kung saan 59 katao ang nasawi, habang nasa 530 ang sugatan sa pinakamalalang mass shooting sa kasaysayan ng Amerika.

Sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs na wala pang natatanggap na ulat ang Philippine Consulate General sa Los Angeles na may nadamay na Pilipino sa insidente.

Pinapunta ni Cayetano si Consul General Adelio Angelito Cruz sa Las Vegas upang matiyak na walang Pilipino ang nasaktan.

"We are coordinating with Las Vegas police authorities and with leaders of the Filipino Community to check on our kababayans there," sabi ni Cruz.

Natagpuan sa bahay ni Paddlock ang 18 armas, pampasabog at libu-libong bala.
