MANILA, Philippines — Idineklarang national day of protest ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Setyembre 21 ngunit nilinaw niya na hindi ito holiday.

“September 21 is not a holiday. I have declared it as a day of protest. Lahat ng gustong mag-protesta laban sa gobyerno,” pahayag ni Duterte ngayong Lunes.

“Walang trabaho at kung gusto ng taga-gobyerno ‘yung mga union dyan, they should participate. Sabi kasi ng military, red army come down here. I will not arrest you but do not commit crimes, no vandalism,” dagdag niya.

Inaasahang ang malawakang kilos protesta sa Huwebes kung saan anibersaryo ito ng pagdedeklara ng martial law ni dating Pangulo Ferdinand Marcos.

Nabanggit na ito ni Duterte nitong nakaraang linggo.
