Poe dismayado sa suspensyon ng LTFRB sa Uber
MANILA, Philippines — Hindi nakatulong sa paglutas ng suliranin sa pampublikong sasakyan ang ipinataw na isang buwan na suspensyon ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory sa Uber, ayon kay Sen. Grace Poe.
"The decision of the LTFRB to suspend Uber is both cruel and absurd, to say the least," pahayag ni Poe na chaiperson ng Senate Committee on Public Services.
Dahil dito ipinatawag ng senadora ang mga opisyal ng LTFRB para sa isang urgent meeting bukas.
"I am aghast that this agency that committed before the Senate to resolve the issues has just imposed a cure that will only make the disease much worse," patuloy ni Poe.
Aniya nasa 200,000 mananakay ang maaapektuhan ng suspensyon na magsisimula ngayon.
"Our people deserve to have options when it comes to choosing convenient, safe, and reliable transportation services to brave the daily punishing traffic jam," sabi ni Poe.
Sinuspinde ang ridesharing company dahil sa umano'y mga violation.
"Why can’t the LTFRB be innovative in coming up with an appropriate penalty that is fair and that will not prejudice the riding public? Is there no other less crippling penalty at our disposal? Thirty days is a long time."
