Palasyo nagpaliwanag: Duterte hindi susuwayin ang SC sa martial law

MANILA, Philippines — Nilinaw ng Malacañang ngayong Lunes na hindi susuwayin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Korte Suprema sa pagpapatupad ng martial law sa Mindanao.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella na binibigyang diin lamang ni Duterte na mas nalalaman ng mga sundalo at pulis ang kaguluhan sa katimugang bahagi ng bansa.

"He (Duterte) is not disrespecting the Supreme Court," wika ni Abella. "He will listen and there will have to be proper dialogue between the president as commander-in-chief. They will have an ongoing conversation regarding that," he added.

Nagdeklara ng martial law si Duterte sa Mindanao matapos mapasok ng Maute group ang Marawi City.

Nitong kamakalawa ay sinabi ng pangulo na magpapatuloy ang martial law hanggang maideklara ng mga awtoridad na ligtas na ang bansa.

“I will not listen to others. The Supreme Court, Congress, they are not here,” sabi ni Duterte.

“Are they the ones dying and losing blood, bleeding, hemorrhaging because there is no help, no reinforcement? It’s not them," dagdag niya.
