Utos ng CPP na opensibavs gov’t forces pinalagan

MANILA, Philippines - Isang insulto kay Pangulong Duterte ang utos ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) sa kanilang armed-wing na New People’s Army (NPA) na paigtingin ang opensiba sa government forces matapos magdeklara ng Martial Law sa Mindano.
Ayon kay Labor Secretary at government chief negotiator sa National Democratic Front (NDF) na si Silvestre Bello III, mali ang pagkakaunawa ng CPP sa tunay na intensiyon ni Pangulong Duterte sa pagdedeklara ng Martial Law sa buong Mindanao.
“We are deeply disturbed that the Communist Party of the Philippines made a false reading of the intents of President Duterte in placing Mindanao under martial law. We therefore find the CPP directive to the NPA to intensify attacks as totally misplaced borne out of a grossly distorted appreciation of the President’s intention,” sabi ni Bello.
Binigyang-diin ni Bello na hindi ang communist rebels ang target sa pagdedeklara ng Martial Law ni Pangulong Duterte sa Mindanao kundi ang Maute group at Abu Sayyaf na naghasik ng terorismo sa Marawi City.
“There was a need to restore law and order, protect the lives of the citizens and preserve private and state properties following the clashes between government troops and members of the Maute group,” dagdag ng kalihim.
Nanawagan si Bello sa liderato ng CPP na itama ang kanilang maling pagkakaunawa at bawiin ang kautusan nitong opensiba.
Magugunita na sa media interview kay Duterte sa kanyang pagdating mula sa Russia ay siniguro nito na kung sakaling magpasya si CPP founding chairman Jose Maria Sison sa Pilipinas ay hindi ito aarestuhin kasabay ang pangako na ipapagamot niya ito.
