17 MM mayors, suportado ang pederalismo ni Digong

MANILA, Philippines - Sinusuportahan ng 17 alkalde ng Metro Manila ang kampanya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na gawing pederalismo ang sistema  ng pamahalaan sa bansa.

Ayon sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), sa isinagawang pagpupulong ng Metro Manila Council (MMC), naglabas ito ng resolution, na aprubado ng 17 Metro Manila ma­yors, na suportado nila ang adbokasiya ni Pangulong Duterte na maging Federal system ang pamamalakad ng gobyerno.

Bukod sa mga Metro Manila mayors, dumalo din dito si TESDA Secretary-General Guiling Mamondiong at  ang  representative ni Senate President Koko Pimentel.

Ikinatuwiran ng mga ito na  malaki  ang maitutulong nito sa peace and order, pag-unlad ng ekonomiya, trade relations, employment, health care at disaster preparedness.

Nabatid na ang MMC, ang policy making body ng MMDA.

Dahil sa suportado ng mga alkalde ang agenda ng  Duterte administration, handa nilang hintayin ang guidelines para sa transition ng kapangyarihan at pamamahala nito.

“After a judicious evaluation of the existing systems of government around the world vis-à-vis the unique and diverse circumstances, needs, and requirements of the country and the Filipino people, it is imperative that a new and more responsive form of government be adopted the soonest,” ayon  sa  Metro Manila mayors.

Pinasalamatan naman ni MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos  ang Metro mayors hinggil sa pagbibigay nito ng suporta sa federalism.

“They just want to know and be clear of how to ope­rationalize the system,” ani Orbos.
