Sartorio, Hernandez at 16 pa ginawaran ng MOS award
MANILA, Philippines - Ginawaran ng Most Oustanding Swimmer (MOS) award ang 18 tankers na nanguna sa kani-kanilang dibisyon sa 111th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series - 3rd Commodore Jaime Jimenez Sr. Swimming Championship na ginanap sa Mariners Polytechnic Foundation swimming pool sa Rawis, Legazpi City.
Nanguna sa listahan ng mga awardees sina Hannah Imelda Sartorio ng Ibalong Magayon Aquagliders (girls’ 15-over) at James Peter Hernandez ng Albay Falcons Swim Club (boys’ 15-over) na nangibabaw sa kanilang kategorya matapos umani ng 50 puntos.
Nakakuha rin ng MOS awards sina Hannah Alamani (girls’ 6-under), Johanna Joy Maslang (girls’ 7-year), Heliena Marla Glorioso (girls’ 8-year), Trump Luistro (boys’ 8-year), Alea Faye Tence (girls’ 9-year) at Arran Arnaldo (boys’ 9-year).
Nagwagi rin sina Lucas Mendoza (10), Marc Xavier Rey (11), Angel Joy Chan (12), Carl Jude Tence (13) at Ric Martin Mapagdalita sa boys class at sina Rica Angela Mapagdalita (11), Isis Arnaldo (12), Zyrilyn Monica Anonuevo (13) at Gian Nicole Nunez (14) sa girls event.
Itinanghal na overall team champion ang Albay Falcons Swim Club na nakalikom ng 589 puntos, habang pumangalawa lamang ang Legazpi City Stingrays Swim Club na umani ng 368 at pangatlo ang Ibalong Magayon Aquagliders na naglista ng 346 puntos.
Ikaapat ang Red Fins Swim Club (274) kasunod ang Legazpi Hope Christian (50) at College of Immaculate Concepcion (44).
Sunod na aarangkada ang 112th PSL National Series na gaganapin sa Abril 9 sa Diliman Preparatory Swimming Pool sa Quezon City.
“The grassroots development program of association continues. We welcome everyone in this competition regardless of their affiliations. It’s open to all, no membership requirement,” pahayag ni PSL President Susan Papa.
“PSL caters the young swimming from two years old up to 18 and over. Swimmers must undergo this process of development as there is no shortcuts in sports, it is measured by time and PSL can not go wrong in giving rise to athletes. At the end, it must be parallel with our goal of having sound mind and body,” dagdag nito.
